Meeting Info

About our meeting on zoom (click here to join on Wednesday at 8:30 est)

  • This meeting is anonymous. Your name will be changed to your first name only.  Please let us know if you prefer a different name to be shown. Send a chat to any of our co-hosts.
  • You can have your camera on or off. You don't need to show your face at all.  You can just have your first name show or use an icon of your favorite pet.  You can change the way you appear in your zoom settings / profile. Click here for more info on how to change your zoom settings.
  • We focus our discussions on the study of the Big Book and how we relate to it in our secular recovery.  Atheist, Agnostic and all faiths are welcome.  We are an inclusive group.  However, please focus your comments and sharing on the chapter we are reading, the content, the history and general questions to the speaker.  We are here to learn together.  Not to debate the topic of religion in the Big Book.
  • If you choose to comment or ask questions after the speaker has introduced the chapter, please raise your hand.  Shares are limited to 2 minutes and we will remind you with a gentle buzz when your time is ending.  Please finish your thought when you hear the buzz.  If you don't want to share and just here to listen, please put a red x by your name.  )On the toolbar, click the Reactions  button and choose the x).  Click here for howto do these things in zoom.
  • You can send a chat message or question to any of the hosts during the meeting if you choose not to ask questions by raising your hand or have questions about secular AA & zoom meetings. Click here for howto.
  • We send many link resources during the meeting.  You can save the chat and look at it later for reference if you are not able to save the links during the meeting.  Click here for howto save chat.
  • These rooms are secure and not all are admitted.  If you have trouble getting in, please contact us.
  • You must be in recovery or have a desire to stop drinking and willingness to try.
  • Audio is recorded during the speaker introduction.  The rest of the meeting is not recorded.  The audio is shared in our weekly digest so those that can not attend the meeting in person can listen anytime they wish.

How To raise your hand or choose the red X to just listen.

These are my preferred groups. They have weekly meetings and a wonderful support system for those new to AA, new to secular AA or those trying to find their way to living a sober life.
